Members
of the Parsons family have lived in the village of Farley (previously
called Farli) in the county of Wiltshire, England for as far back as
records can be traced. They were (and as far as I know, still are) farmers
there.
The Farley village church
was built by Sir Stephen Fox and completed in 1689 or 1690. Fox was
acquainted with Sir Christopher Wren (designer of St. Paul's Cathedral
in London), who may well have helped to design the church.
